Hello Opera Team and Community,
I'm experiencing a persistent issue with Opera Browser Connector. It continuously displays the following message:
“Update required — You need to update the Browser Connector to get the latest version.”
However, I cannot find any available update option that resolves this warning.
Troubleshooting steps already completed:
Updated Opera to the available version.
Enabled Early Bird mode.
Restarted Opera multiple times.
Uninstalled and reinstalled Browser Connector.
Confirmed that I am signed in to my Opera account.
Enabled “Allow AI connection.”
Checked the Browser Connector permissions.
Clicked the “Update” button in the connector settings.
Confirmed that Opera Browser Connector shows as “Connected” in ChatGPT.
Despite all these steps, the warning remains.
Whenever ChatGPT attempts to access Opera, it returns this error:
“Browser not connected. Make sure to enable 'Allow AI connection' in the Browser Connector and sign in with your Opera account.”
Both requirements have already been fulfilled.
My questions:
Is this a known bug affecting Opera Browser Connector?
Is there a connector version mismatch or a problem with the update rollout?
Is there currently any server-side issue affecting the connection between Opera and ChatGPT?
Is there an official workaround or fix?
I would appreciate guidance from the Opera development team or anyone who has experienced and resolved this issue.
I can provide screenshots of the “Update required” warning and my connector settings if needed.
Thank you for your support.
