It looks like it is working on Opera Dev (just tested it) and if it is showing on Opera 25 then you are correct.

Any thoughts as to when the next Beta release is going to happen? This same problem is also occurring on udemy.com (cannot login because it does not display the popup).

I thought about switching to the Dev channel but was a little worried about the stability of that channel.

When you go to the web page:

You are unable to sign in when you click on the link that says "Sign In" using the Opera browser (beta 26.0.1656.8 )

If you use Chrome, you will see that a popup (looks like a div called "sign-in-content") occurs and you are able to sign in.

Another solution is if you hold down the shift key and drag the right or left edge of the window, it will maintain its original aspect ratio and the window will grow smaller so that you can properly resize it from the bottom.

Thought I would mention that here for people who might not be familiar with the terminal.

Ahh, I see. You are correct. I guess that's the trade off. Any way to have both? I would assume I would still get the popup menu but, I don't really mind it at all. Obviously, this would have to be in a setting somewhere as most users might be bothered by it.

I love the mouse gestures but I miss my instant popup menu as well.

It could still be blank. Or it could scale a snapshot of the last known screen in cache. If you look at this extension:

It "kinda" does it. But, not very effectively since it is just using jquery most likely or something similar to mimic the effect. Safari 7 for mac used to have this when coming in and out of the top sites. It was a very nice effect.

Just something to consider I guess.

Had a thought tonight while using the speed dial. There is a small "animation" when you are adding a new site (e.g. Goto Speed Dial page, click on "Add a Site" button, and then click on close. There is a very subtle animation that happens on that window when it is closing. It is very cool.

What I thought would be awesome would be to add that subtle animation when you are opening a site. Kind of like you are "zooming in" to that site. It wouldn't really be a CPU hit since you can pass that off to the graphics card. And there could always be a preference for it so users could turn it off on slower systems.

Thanks for the feedback. By "my own icons" for speed dial, I am referring to the thumbnail. I like a little more control over what is showing on the speed dial page.

Also, concerning the Developer version - how stable is it? Is it worth moving to or should I wait till the changes come over to the beta version (or stable version).

One more question - how often do they generally create releases for the beta and dev channels?

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I have noticed a few things running beta 26.0 of Opera.

1. Right clicking on a mac should immediately popup a menu and allow you to start selecting the menu item.
   Example:
   When you right click on a word it should automatically show the menu and select the word at the same time (like chrome and safari does). Right now, you have to right-click, then let go of the button, then the menu pops up, then you have to select the menu item you want to perform on the selected text (e.g. search for the word on google). With Chrome and Safari, you simply right click on the word, and select the search menu item without letting up on the menu button.

2. Download monitor progress does not come up most of the time. It comes up at first. Then, it stays gone and when I click on it, it won't come back up.

3. Toolbar items do seem like they can be moved (i.e. the extension toolbar items that I have added). This would be a nice to have feature.

4. Speed dial should be able to be more configurable. I would like to add my own icons. Or better yet, I would like to use my own Speed dial page. I tried adding one I normally use from extensions but the Opera speed dial page kept coming up.

Everything is looking great so far though and I am slowly becoming an Opera user! Love all the "Extra" features. That, along with the speed, is keeping my interest from going back to safari or Chrome.
