Fact that Chropera fall to round 1% of browsers share tells more than any petition. Newertheless there's no answer. Except from fanboys, of course

RE: Opera 15 is a DISASTEROpera for Windows
Currently I'm using Opera 12 and Maxton which I like a lot but for those who are waiting for Opera 15+ (it will probably be Opera 143 if it survive so long) with customisation options like v12 go for Avant browser. It is kind of "shell" for IE, Chrome and FF, but highly customisable. You can make Chrome (real Chrome not Opera-Chrome clone) looks much, much like Ov12, with menu bar, movable tab-bar, integrated ad-block and tones of settings of every kind. Basically thats just what Opera DevTeam is trying to do with no success.

RE: Why would you destroy Opera?Opera for Windows
I am MCSE and remember there was 8 of us in a group during lectures. Every one was already more than advanced user. What surprised me is that 7 out of 8 were Opera users. It was Opera makes us brotherhood not Microsoft. With new "opera" something like that will never happen again anywhere.

Just like replacing most valuable member of academy with a baby explaining that we are working with that kid to become a genius. No one ever did anything stupid like that.

RE: Where is the menu bar?Opera for Windows
With one exeption (OK, let's say... 3) everyone agrees about necessity of tab bar. We should stick to topic now and that is - menu bar, or open a new thread.

Frenzie you are so wrong about tab bar. In a matter of fact you are the first one i ever heard to complain about tab bar. Have we misunderstood something?

Windows IS NOT an application!
Whatever you call it, you still manage to use it every single day without any menu at the top. Because you're used to it, you never even noticed that it doesn't have a menu. I suggest that six months from now, if you did use Opera Next, you would not even miss the menu any longer.
Malwarebytes is another application with no menu. No doubt there are others. There are other ways of working besides using menus. Have you enabled the menu in Windows Media Player yet? Anyway, Opera does have a menu, it is at the top left corner.
Do you want screenshot? Yes, I do have menu bar in Win media player (W7 and WMP11) same as I do in every explorer windows. That's first thing to do after instaling OS. Operating system desktop is completly diferent story from any app. Maybe ChromyO is trying to become OS?
Not using Opera NEXT. It is missing everything I liked in Opera. Also do not use Malwarebytes or any anti virus couse my last virus infection was in 1995 by Michelangelo. Ironicly it was my birthday too. Reason for my "imunity" is probbalby alergia to anything that works in the background and without my approvement (does it ring a bell). It includes most of Windows services that I have disabled, not to mention updates of apps or any other scams and bulls... Of course Opera auto update always had to be disabled. Call me paranoic but it does not mean nobody follow me.

Pecsala, Windows IS NOT an application! Someone with zilion posts should already know that.

RE: Where is the menu bar?Opera for Windows
I do not have a single program without menu bar. After installing app (any app) first thing to do is make menu bar visable. In case of Opera second step is place tab bar at the bottom. Third step is adding drop down menus to adress-bar (zoom %, block...pop-ups). Then turning off auto update. Everything else comes later. It is so easy to do all of that with new ChromeO - Chropera... right?

RE: why did opera browser change like this?Opera for Windows
Wrong! I do not owe them anything becouse it is my support (and others like me, of course) who make Opera what it is and makes them money. Certainly do not expect to be payed but I DO NOT owe them anything and I'm free to go on and look for really advances browser as Opera used to be.
"I think this is the end of a beautiful friendship!"
Nothing more - nothing less.

Truly speaking it comes to this, Opera Team is giving up loyal users and trying to have new users instead hoping there will be more of them. Sad but thats the way life goes. I'm the one who feel betrayed but hey... you do not owe me enything.
