can you provide a link to the video that doesn't work ? does twitter work for you?
I'm running Zorin linux but what I did was:
install chromium-ffmpeg from snap then
find libffmpeg.so on your system.
in terminal: locate libffmpeg.so
mine produced this:
/snap/chromium-ffmpeg/23/chromium-ffmpeg-103551/chromium-ffmpeg/libffmpeg.so
/snap/chromium-ffmpeg/23/chromium-ffmpeg-104195/chromium-ffmpeg/libffmpeg.so
/snap/chromium-ffmpeg/23/chromium-ffmpeg-95241/chromium-ffmpeg/libffmpeg.so
/snap/chromium-ffmpeg/23/chromium-ffmpeg-98516/chromium-ffmpeg/libffmpeg.so
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/libffmpeg.so
backup the opera's libffmpeg.so:
sudo mv /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/libffmpeg.so /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/libffmpeg.so.bak
copy on of the libffmpeg.so files over (might be trial and error pick one of the newer ones):
sudo cp /snap/chromium-ffmpeg/23/chromium-ffmpeg-103551/chromium-ffmpeg/libffmpeg.so /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera/
restart opera. if it works then you are in luck.
I have solved my issue.
It turns out the libffmpeg.so I was using in lib_extra directory was the problem. While one version of libffmpeg.so might fix Twitter or Instagram problems they do not necessarily fix DRM Netflix or Spotify issues which uses Widevine.
To fix the problem:
I downloaded https://repo.herecura.eu/herecura/x86_64/opera-beta-ffmpeg-codecs-95.0.4638.32-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst from https://repo.herecura.eu/herecura/x86_64/ as mentioned in https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/opera/linux_libffmpeg_config .
moved the libffmpeg.so to /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera-beta/lib_extra/libfmpeg.so and now I am all up and running.
OS: Linux Mint 20.2 x64
Opera 81.0.4196.14
unable to play videos on netflix.com. After clicking play, error screen reads:
Pardon the interruption We're having trouble playingNetflix. Please visit chrome://components, Find "Widevine Content Decryption Module" and click the "Check for update" button. Error code 07701-1003
I have tried to go to opera://components and update the widevine mentioned there, but netflix still does not work. I have reviewed https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/wiki/opera/linux_widevine_config
I have tried on Opera stable 80.0.4170.63 and I get the same problem.
I have tried this in Google Chrome Beta 96.0.4664.18 and Netflix works fine.
Steps to (try to) reproduce the issue:
Logon to netflix, then play a video.
