This should not be a default option. A browser should never push content that a user has not given explicit permission for.

I get a full phone freeze with the latest beta update. So far this happens when trying to open settings and every time I switch apps or close the browser.

The freeze will last for 1 or more minutes, eventually giving me the app not responding dialog. Waiting will allow use of the app until it freezes again.
