This red Opera Menu button won't go away only on portable installations. How do I get rid of it?

It shows up now after updates. But only while downloads are in progress. Then it dissappears again until the next download. Hopefully it will be fixed.

It makes no sense for a portable version.

Everything works fine, except the icon is not showing up, no pup-ups with the progress bar. The destination folder is in place.

It never appears, even whilst downloading a file.
