Did you ever figure it out or get past the error? I'm having the same error.

Have a new samsung Blu-ray, when to opera to download apps, get error 496, device not supported. Unplugged, still have error. Connected to internet, no issues with hulu or netflix. What do I do to be able to access Opera TV on my bluray?
