Some more things that I have tested:

• deleting all cookies, cache, etc. all checkboxes checked, does NOT fix the issue

• in private mode I can open any amazon website without a problem

• resetting opera to factory defaults in the options fixes it, but I don't want to lose all my settings and cookies

• installing Keepa and Install Chrome Extensions does NOT make Amazon crash after I reset Opera, however my Opera installations worked fine for days, but then the crash bug happened, and I think this was when Opera offered me to install Amazon Assistant once again, even though I had clicked "don't show this again"

@helloroad good to know that I'm not the only one with this issue.
This also happened on 2 completely different Windows 10 PCs,
they even have 2 different security software. Disabling them did not help either.

With the portable version I even messed around a lot to make it work again.
I made a backup archive file for the whole folder and tried to delete files like cache, cookies, extensions ... but nothing fixed the "infinite crashing" issue, except for deleting the entire profile folder.

I'm pretty sure it's related with Opera asking you to install the Amazon Assistant Extensions.
Furthermore, I think after clicking something like "don't show this again" Opera started crashing. I also had the Extension "Keepa", an Amazon price tracker installed on both Operas.
It's an extension that only works by using "Install Chrome Extensions" in Opera.

Perhaps Keepa and the Opera "would you like to install Amazon Assistant" conflict with each other.

However, even if all extensions, including Keepa and Install Chrome Extensions are disabled, opening the Amazon website will still instantly crash Opera.

about 2-3 weeks ago I had a crash problem with Opera portable,
now I have a similar problem with a normally installed Opera.

new problem:
Everything was ok with my Opera installation, but today it crashed on startup when trying to restore the previous session. However, unlike the portable version, this version managed to disable all the extensions and stops crashing.
Now that all extensions are disabled the browser and all websites work fine, but when I try to open Amazon, the browser will crash!

How can I fix this? Maybe it has to do with the advertisement for the Amazon Assistant Extension. Opera will ask if you want to add the Amazon Assistant to Opera. Perhaps this is the reason why it crashes.

I've been setting up Opera Portable on Windows 10 64 bit.
Everything was ok, no crashes.
The next day, Opera would start up, saying that it's restored after a crash,
however after about 3 seconds opera automatically restarts and says the same message.
This repeats about 5 times and then it stops and closes. So I'm completely unable to use it, as it will automatically shutdown all the time.

I tried lots of things like deleting windows cache, appdata, cleaner tool, windows updates, disable anti virus, etc. Tried to delete the extension folder. Nothing helps, except deleting the entire profile folder.

So I decided to completely delete this Opera Portable, and set up a brand new one. But the exact same thing repeated. Everything worked fine on the first day, but the next day it would start up, talk about crash and restore, and automatically restart 5 times and shuts down.

I've even saved a copy of both versions in a RAR archive, tried it again and it keeps crashing.

What to do about it?
