I wonder why this old Opera version (my preferred one) keeps reinstalling this gamestrip, if I cannot run it at all...

@ttgamer028 "Left bar labeled mods"? Where is it, could you provide me a screenshot? I only have the Opera GX side bar with GX Corner in it. And, this game Mini Idle Aura among installed extensions.
If I remove it from the extensions, it gets reinstalled soon.

A free game Mini Idle Aura appeared among the installed addons of my Opera GX.
If keeps getting installed again and again, if I remove it.

Is there a way to disable all unattended installations of Opera GX games?

Does it support Windows 7?

I am experiencing random Opera freezes/silent crashes on my older hardware (nVidia GTX 650) since version 65. I have to kill the process opera.exe in the task manager manually... O64 was fine.
On my other PC with Kaby Lake iGPU Opera 68 and below runs fine, without freezing.
Is there a possibility to improve compatibility with these older graphic cards? There are no new drivers for them ...

There is still a thin transparent line below the Menu button, which has Windows desktop color.. coud you make the Menu button higher, to fill in this space, like it was in older Opera versions (less than 65)?

On most sites, except YT, keyboard keys (Up/Down arrow) cannot be used to control the volume of a video stream. Only the mouse works.
It was ok with O49 ... (I switched from O46 recently).

The Opera button needs to be moved 1px down, or to be made heigher.
There is a little transparent space below it, having desktop background color. It results in a thin pseudo-line below the O button.

Desktop icons flickering (Win7) still present with this version.

Also, after random time, Opera stops working and refuses to load any web page.
Noticed this behavior since v65.

I fully agree with the autor of this topic.
The said flag is necessary, because the title bar looks very, very ugly now, with black tabs and transparent the rest.
I really don't know why the Opera team removed this option.
And don't tell us to disable Aero generally in Windows 7, it really isn't a good suggestion!

Also the open/restore/close buttons and the "restore tabs" one in the upper right corner are now smaller and not fitting the title bar, unlike before.

I just upgraded from Opera 49 to 56, using dark mode in Windows 7 and the #reborn-win7-aero-skin flag set to Disabled.

It seems that this flag has been removed in O56. As the result, the background of the title bar is not black as before (O49), but transparent, like the default setting in Win7. It is very ugly to have black tabs in the left and transparent the rest of the title bar.
Any ideas to bring the black background back?

VPN In Opera 48 was completely disabled - no location available now.
I think I'll stay at this old version anyway, it was less buggy than current 5x builds.

Today, I have only two VPN locations in Opera 48 - USA and Netherlands.
Are they the same as in O49 - 52?
The speed is acceptable, over 2mbit/s at least.

Has anyone found a way to disable instant search in Bookmarks?

When I start typing, Opera (48) not only starts searching, but also instantly deletes last characters from the search phrase, so I cannot type the whole word.

Opera 48 VPN is working again, including original locations! I wonder for how long it will stay turned on

I also regret that the VPN was not updated in the older Opera 48 Stable too.
Why should I be forced to update to the new version, which has more bugs and is worse in general? (including the missing entries "Add Bookmark" in the bookmarks bar folders).

Is it true, that the new VPN version is not capable of hiding DNS requests? It would be a huge privacy hole.

The only working solution is to block access to address "autoupdate.opera.com" in your firewall (or add it to the Hosts file if you don't have a FW).
I don't know why Opera team is still disabling TLS 1.1 and 1.2 remotely on all clients, if it is more secure than TLS 1.0. Some web sites require the later TLS versions and don't work with 1.0.
