And I'd appreciate it if someone from the Opera team could give an official answer as to whether this is a bug or if the feature has been removed.

I have noticed that the latest update brings the following problem for me.
If I switch to another application while using Opera, when I come back Opera no longer has audio, to solve this I have to kill the application or completely exit it.
