So I'm fresh back to Opera after using Firefox for a little while. One of the things I really loved about FF was the ability to to expand a video. So say your on Facebook and your enjoying some of the Reels. If you hover over a video there is a little box with an arrow, click that and the video jumps out of it's frame and is larger to view. I'd really love to know if there is an extension for that here in Opera I can install or what have you about getting that cool option here.

One of the niggles I have with the sync option in Opera is that if I sign in and allow it to sync I get a bunch of really old bookmarks and what not back into my browser. So my question is ....

Is there a way to clear out ALL of the sync info being held in my account so I can use my current Opera to create a new updated sync so if I install Opera elsewhere I'm getting the newest and most up to date info installed there.

@leocg I did get it figured out. Now I have my wonderful dark theme loaded up and all is well. You're correct, I should have selected the folder under the main folder with all the mixed numbers and letters Then it worked. Tjank You!!

@leocg Just gave me an error message, I didn't bother to take a screen grab but just didn't work. I tried multiple times but I choose a folder, correct? Not a file. So I selected the folder I Think was the dark mode folder and I got that error message. So I tried another folder "DAZ Deals" as I work part time in the CG industry and it's a helpful extension at times. but nope, still got an error message. So..... not sure what else to try!

@leocg So I finally got around to trying your suggestion. Doesn't work. I did follow what you suggested to the letter. So it's either that the Opera that I had on my previous rig and Windows that was older and that's the hiccup or something else, not sure.

I would be nice to have an add on for Opera that would back up and install a whole collection of extensions and even if the version is slightly newer get a notice to warn that the extensions may or may not function properly. I have most of them back again but I had this really good night mode add on that worked pretty good across all the sites I use and I can't seem to find a good replacement. I think it was Dark Reader but if it is it's not working like it did on my older rig/Opera so I've tried out a gaggle of others and really am not finding my joy with any of them really. Too many variables for how each web site is laid out so I GET IT but that older night mode I had was really good. sigh

@leocg OMG. thank you so much. I'll make a note of that for next time. I ended up going into each of the Extensions folders and loading up the manifest.json files in my Edit Pad Pro and found the names and found them all so it's done but next time I'll try your route and perhaps make my life a little less troublesome! LOL

I'm finally on a new computer but I was careful and backed up just about any program I used including my entire Opera set up from my User's Roaming folder. I dragged and dropped that into the new install and overwrote but nothing changed. Not sure if that can happen or am I wishful thinking there?

I remember a while back you could do that with Firefox, before the big rewrite, and all was well but I'm thinking that perhaps with the Chrome based code that may or may not be possible. If it is possible I have no idea how to do that.

I've tried logging into my sync account but none of my extensions come in so that's really the main need. Sadly I'm at an age where I do forget to take screen shots of stuff like that and unlike the Mozilla extensions area there seems to be no way to save out a list of extensions so I can get them all back.

You know, kill the current installation and reinstall from scratch but now it's working correctly without ever doing that, which is strange. I'm not complaining but one day it's screwed up and the next day it's fine again! Weird!

SO upon doing a little bit of thinking about this.... I right clicked on the taskbar icon and chose Private Window... guess what.. it's all working so there is SOMETHING in the normal window that's the culprit.

I've even tried disabling the Opera Ad Blocker and that didn't work either so SOMETHING is causing this strange behavior and I'm not sure it's any one of my add ons as none, besides the ad blocker, would have permissions to block me from viewing videos or other types of content like that!

Yes, as stated this site opens for me fully on my work computer but here at home it's not opening properly! So I guess I need to kill this Opera and reinstall.

OK, just installed the newest update. Marmoset still loads as expected.

I really wish there were a backup utility for Opera so wouldn't have to go through loosing all my cookies and passwords. I don't mind the addons as I need to research that a bit more... I really don't think I have any installed that would do that at home but one never knows!

IF there is a way to back up and restore parts of my home installation please let me know folks.

Yea, I'm at work and on my laptop the Marmoset page looks fine. I don't have my logon info here at work for Netflix but if the Marmoset page loads fine here then I imagine that NetFlix might work well too.

Wondering if perhaps one of my add ons is causing this. At work I have very few add ons on board of this Opera.... then again I've not installed the latest update here at work either

This seems to be an ongoing issue for me... not sure about others but what happens is that Opera will be working fine for me in MOST ways (CNET video's have NEVER played using Opera for what ever reason).

SO I get an update notice for Opera and go for it... now I can't watch NetFlix, have to use Edge... what's worse is that many websites that use their platform to offer quick video's to show off what their software can do also do not play correctly.

I'm a graphics artist so if I go to https://marmoset.co/toolbag/ and look at the page there, I see blank areas. If I reload the page I can see that it's fully there but only for a second.. once the page is fully reloaded the blank areas reappear. It's almost like there there is some weird shield that's overlaid over certain types of vids.

A side note... what I mean by "do not play correctly" is that the audio is playing, no issues but the video is blank!

I can use YouTube no problem. Hulu and Amazon Prime load fine too but the rest is a no go.

Last time this really got on my nerves I just completely uninstalled and reinstalled Opera but then I had to go and reinstall all my addons which is a PITA and my cookies and passwords per site had to be put back into place so that's not something I really want to have to deal with again if possible.

Can someone please advise me as to what to do to fix this?

I do have the backup/sync set up.. so wondering, if I load up Opera in my rig when it gets to me if I sign in will that push all the current goodies like passwords, installed extensions and bookmarks to the new Opera installation?

Please let me know.

If not please let me know if there is an extension to use to make this happen to save me time as you know what it's like setting up a new computer, it's no fun. As a graphics artist I have SO many programs to install and set up as it is... anything that can be made more simple will be a time saver.

That does work, also holding down the Ctrl key and clicking works but wanted to know if there was an extension that just did all that for the end user either out there or in the works. Would be helpful.

I've come over from Firefox. Tired of the slow browser. Used to love it but I've found that Opera is much faster in most scenarios but there are some extensions I truly miss and most of the time I can find work around extensions to take their place but this one I can't find. When I click on a bookmark link it overwrites the page I'm currently on. I realize I can right click and have it open in a new tab but I'm wondering if there is an extension either here or in the Chrome library that will set up things so when I just click on a link on a saved bookmark it will open the link in a NEW TAB without having to right click... I can't remember that allot of the times.
