Opera Browser 3.1.3 on ios 14.4.2 is not accessing my ios/iCloud keychain to auto fill passwords like Safari does. Is there something I need to do in settings to enable keychain to work with Opera? Or is it not keychain password auto fill not available. I do not save passwords in any browsers so syncing to my desktop Opera is not an option for me, if that is even a feature. I really like Opera on my iPhone but no password auto fill is a problem. Thanks for any input.

RE: Install Chrome ExtensionsOpera add-ons
@qqm Good news for me. I re-installed "Install Google Extensions" from the Opera addon page (https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/?hl=en-US). The Google icon is still grayed at the top of open tabs (as if the extension is broken or not installed) and there still is not a button to "install" it on the manage extensions page. However, when I went to the Chrome Web Store, extensions there displayed the "Add to Opera" button (same as in the past) and I am able to install Chrome extensions again! Good luck everybody!

RE: 2 Versions of Opera in Control PanelOpera for Windows
@burnout426 Thanks for the location of the Opera uninstall registry key. That's good info and will save me a lot of effort next time !
Before uninstalling the older version I checked and did not have have two profile folders. When uninstalling the older version the "box" you are mentioning didn't open. Instead after clicking to uninstall the control panel refreshed and both the older and current installed version were gone. Also, my Opera shortcut and launcher.exe in the install folder didn't start opera and I found the files sizes in my profile folder were smaller than the backup. That's when I went for a clean start and used RevoUninstaller (which had logged the original Opera installation) to uninstall whatever was left. Reinstalled and replaced the new profile folder with the backup and all worked. Fortunately I had saved the entire Opera Stable profile (instead of the backup files/folder in the help pages) and thank you for verifying that is the right way to backup. I still suspect the whole thing is related to the system restore. Also, good to know Opera uninstall by default doesn't delete my profile folder since I typically use Revo if I have to uninstall, which tries to remove everything. Thanks for taking the time to share the info!

RE: Install Chrome ExtensionsOpera add-ons
@HamzaMohamed244 It's working for me again in Windows 10 1903 with latest Opera ver. 67.0.3575.53 (and earlier 67 versions). I've reinstalled Opera a few times in the last month and it's working again each time for me. First I installed the "Install Chrome Extension" extension from Opera's native extension store (clicked Opera logo at top left of screen for Menu, Extensions, Get Extensions). After installing the extension, there wasn't a separate install button on page were you see all the extensions you've downloaded. The Google "green red yellow" cube in the toolbar (if not set to hidden) is "greyed" out and it doesn't respond to clicks. But when I go to the Chrome Web Store (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions) and click on an extension, the "install" button is bright bright green and says "Add to Opera". I've installed extensions from the web store yesterday and they work. Good Luck and hope it works for you.

RE: Install Chrome ExtensionsOpera add-ons
@HamzaMohamed244 You're welcome. Sorry it doesn't work in Windows 7. After reinstalling Opera January I found the "Install Chrome Extensions" wasn't working for Windows 10 (it is now). I needed to reinstall extensions and found someone here suggested crxextractor. Have you checked it out https://crxextractor.com ? I used it in January and again just now and it worked (today I disabled Install Chrome Extensions first). I don't know if it works with Windows 7 or vouch for it other than to say it works for me to install Chrome extensions. To use it, go the chrome web store. Open the page for an extension you want and copy the URL of that page. Then with crxextractor open in opera, click "Start for free". On the next page paste the URL you just copied where it says "URL from Chrome WebStore". Click the "Download" button. The button will change to "Get .crx". Click again. You should now see the extension on your Opera extensions page. Click "install" on the extension if necessary. Good Luck. p.s I'm not associated with that website at all - just trying to help out since I know what it's like to not have your extensions.

2 Versions of Opera in Control PanelOpera for Windows
I found 2 versions of Opera 67 in the control panel (Win 10 1903), that may have been triggered after I did a system restore. I read on the forum to uninstall the older version, which I did. What happened for me when I uninstalled the older version (from the control panel) is the entire application was uninstalled so I had to re-install from scratch. Luckily, I before uninstalling, I saved a copy the entire Opera Stable (my Opera profile) folder from C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software. After re-installing, I renamed the new "Opera Stable" folder to "Opera Stable-old" and copied the Opera Stable file I saved to the "Opera Software" folder above. Everything restored perfectly including settings, extensions, tabs, favorites etc. Takeaway - Always backup the entire "Opera Stable" profile folder (by clicking on Opera Logo at top left for Menu, Help, About Opera to find location) in order to completely restore. In the past I backed up only the short list of folders and files found here: https://help.opera.com/en/latest/crashes-and-issues/ . But every time I have had to fresh install Opera, those files/folders never restored everything (ex., missing extensions, bookmarks/speed dial). Going forward I'll backup the entire profile folder (Opera Stable) since that worked perfectly. Hope Opera will clarify in the help pages what to backup for a complete restore

RE: Install Chrome ExtensionsOpera add-ons
Couple of weeks ago, after re-installing Opera, was having the same issues as others getting "Install Google Extensions" to work.. After adding it to Opera there is no "install" button and the google icon is grayed out. The tried crxextractor.com as suggested by @djmartist and it worked perfectly. Today I'm trying to install another app and crxextractor is not working. The home page opens but when I click the "ready" button nothing happens. It is supposed to open a dialog box to enter the url at the chrome store for the app you want to install. Anybody else experience crxextractor not working and/or found a work around to install from the chrome store? Thanks!

RE: [Solved]Opera GX - Prevent Download of Install FileOpera GX
@leocg Closing all tabs worked! (Opera is set to open with last session) Saved open tabs in speed dial folder, closed them and restarted Opera. No more GX download. I'll remember this tip for the future. Thanks much.

RE: [Solved]Opera GX - Prevent Download of Install FileOpera GX
@leocg Thanks for the suggestion I hadn't tried clearing downloads and just did. grrr - no difference. Opera GX seems to have planted a little seed somewhere that triggers Opera Desktop to keep downloading. I really don't want to resort to installing GX to see if that will stop the downloads because then I have to deal with the uninstall - program, registry settings and any modifications GX may make to the Desktop version that is configured perfectly. Hope there's another idea. Another big reason I don't want to reset Opera or risk messing with my Opera Desktop setup is I have a password manager that is very finicky to set up with Opera to recognize the master encrypted password file, and it's finally also working perfectly. Any other ideas will be very welcome. Is there a way to reach out to the Opera GX development team about this? Thanks.

[Solved]Opera GX - Prevent Download of Install FileOpera GX
Hello, I received a notice in the Opera Desktop browser (which I love) telling me about Opera GX and asking if I wanted to download it. I thought why not, I would check out later before installing. When I clicked "Download Opera GX", a "save as" window opened and instead of clicking "save", I decided to cancel until I figured out if I wanted it. Now, every time I open the Opera Desktop browser, a Save As window automatically opens with "OperaGXsetup.exe" asking me to click to "save" the file. Even thought I cancel (and once I even downloaded the .exe) it keeps happening. Does anyone know how to stop it from trying to download. In Opera I cleared cookies, cache and hosted app data with no luck. Thanks Much!
