@burnout426 - I appreciate the prompt reply's and helpful links. I did save the folders in my user data to a separate USB drive, then totally uninstalled Opera folders, hidden folders, and registry keys. I reinstalled Opera but it was only minimally better and my bookmarks were all transferred to "other bookmarks" folder, inside "other bookmarks" inside another and another. I removed and reinstalled 3 times and spent too many hours messing around with fixing Opera and had other projects to attend to. I gave up and removed Opera again for good, and took Chrome browser for a test drive. It is 10 times faster, no useless addons like "Crypto Wallet" that I couldn't remove and Chrome streams my videos faster and more clearly and is easy to navigate. So far so good and I'm staying with Chrome. It works better on my old PC and laptop. Thanks again for the help. Bye Opera, we had a nice run.

[Solved]How to remove Opera but save user Data?Opera for Windows
Greetings to all. I've been using Opera for a few years.
It is my main browser. Opera updated to new 92.0.4561.33 version. It is horribly slow and not working properly.
I tried the basic remedies of disabling add-ons. All antivirus and malware scans were all clean.I tried to uninstall Opera using Revo uninstaller but was notified that the Opera version I have been using is not the right one and no uninstaller was to be found?
I then used the old Windows add/remove program and was surprised it was successful in removing Opera. I saved my user data and bookmarks when prompted.
I reinstalled latest Opera version 92.0.4561.33 again. I made sure it was bit 32. This resulted in slightly better browser speed but still very slow.
I then checked my computer and found numerous Opera folders that I think might be the cause of the problem?
Opera folders can be found in the following locations.Windows/C/User/ has Opera 7/29/2021
Windows/C/AppData/local has Opera software 12/29/2020 -inside that folder it has Opera Stable 12/18/2021
Windows/C/USER/AppData/Roaming has Opera Software 10/29/2020
But, Inside of that has Opera Stable - 10/28/2022 with all my data and appears legit.
Strange that Windows C/User/downloads has a shaded hidden Opera folder with 8/2021 folders?
And I also presume numerous Registry Keys too.
Question -
I would like to know if I can save my user data, passwords and bookmarks folders to a USB and then remove every single bit of Opera from my computer and registry, Then download the correct Opera version again for Windows 7 32 bit and replace the new blank Opera user data folders with the ones I saved on the USB? I've spent hours on this problem, please help?
Thanks in advance - JC
