@leocg I tried Chrome version and the standalone libffmpeg.so. Could not get the Flatpak version to play videos at all.

@leocg it's a .deb version that is standalone. I found it on Opera website and didn't integrate it iinto Linux Mint. Most of the videos are playing on this version so far. I also checked other system software and tried Opera Flatpak with no extensions, but it still didn't work.

@gloewa My thinking exactly. But even the fixes don't work. I have never had to do this with opera nor any other browser. I did download a Linux .deb version of Opera and got rid of the system version and it acts a little better.

videos still not working

@sgunhouse Doesn't work. I had to go to another site to get directions to where to get the UPdated file and how to install it. This did not work. It still crashes when a video tries to pllay. This is not a good answer especially since you omitted directions.
