With this updated release I have serious problems on Linux (Manjaro and Solus): when I launch Opera it freezes for a 10 seconds and I can't click anything, then it lets me to click and access to a web site and again it stops responding.
Tried with latest beta (67.0.3575.28) and it works fine on Manjaro.
I was looking for a new browser and Opera was looking very promising... until I stumbled across this glitch. Really? Not being able to open PDF files in my computer's default PDF viewer program is unacceptable!
Temporary workaround (or maybe definitive because this issue was not taken into account): double click the pdf files on download drop-down list.
When you have "Open PDF files in the default PDF viewer application" checked and in your computer setting setup the default PDF app you want to use - Mine will open Adobe Acrobat Pro
Which Opera version have you installed?
From bugs.chromium.org:
"This is currently the intended behavior unless you check the automatically open this file type (from the download bar right of the filename). It used to open them automatically but we considered this to be rather intrusive."
It would take such an option even on Opera.
Could it be Chromium's fault? Because in 57 (and even 59) it's the same story.
Since the new Opera version (stable 44.x 64bit), the option "Open PDF files in the default PDF viewer application" doesn't work anymore, it just saves the pdf file without launching pdf viewer. I went back to 43.0.2442.1144 to have this option working again.
