Yes, I have Spam Arrest installed - invaluable !
It looks as if I am stuck with FireFox in my Windows 7. This all works perfectly with Spam Arrest and Kasperky. I do miss the old Opera Bookmarking though.

@leocg . It occurs with every site I try to visit. Absolutely nothing like it on FireFox.
I have Kaspersky Total Security functioning on my PC.
How do I check for Malware, etc ?

Some months ago my Opera (Windows 7 32bit) became unusable.
Before every website I wanted to contact I would have to accept a series of prompts to approve each particular site on the route to the one I wanted. This is still current - hence this access to your forum via Firefox.
My 'old' Opera had superb bookmarking, unlike Firefox! However it does look as if that issue has been fixed in Opera with the bookmarks in a sidebar instead of full screen.
So, please tell me how I can get rid of the 'Security Issue' prompts,

Yes every time, over and over again.
I did all my browsing in Opera. I have cookies enabled for the top page in each of my 4 sessions. If I really have to have cookies (for such as Amazon) I pasted the URL into Firefox where I have cookies enabled for everything. A bit of hassle but over the years this has saved a lot of trouble.
Unfortunately this worked until I think it was when GDPR happened.
How do I access the offline installer?

I have version 12.17.1863 in Windows 7 32bit in the UK (EU).
I am having to submit this in Firefox because Opera has become unusable since General Data Protection Regulations came into force. To access any website I have to accept dozens of dialogs. I am unable to upgrade because the 'Preparing installation' doesn't finish.
I love Opera's bookmarking, sessions and cookie management.
Any suggestions?

I have Opera 12.17 and have just installed Opera Developer.
I read that I can paste HTML code for developing. Where?

I will certainly try out your suggestion.
I researched Presto via Google and by all accounts it seems I am better off with the Presto rendering engine for the work I do, even if I don't have thumbnails on tap.
(I like Opera 'Presto' in Win7 32bit for its superb bookmarking, good cookie management and general lack of hassle and clutter - it does what it's told!)

davehawley: On this page I just have a grey star at the right-hand end (and a yellow padlock off the Left-hand end).
When I right click in a page I get a dialog with Bookmark Page... This gives me the Add Bookmark dialog - with nothing about thumbnails. I usually right click on my required folder in the Bookmarks column to get the Add Bookmarks dialog.
Could there be something in Tools/Preferences/Advanced/Tabs. Thumbnails are mentioned but I don't see the relevance?

When you’re bookmarking a page, you can click through the suggested thumbnails and choose the one that would be the best for highlighting that page on the list. It works the same way for changing the image for an existing bookmark: just click on the heart icon when you’re on the bookmarked page.
I haven't got anything like this when I am bookmarking a page. Maybe I need to download something?
