Opera is the only program I run that turns on my discrete GPU (macbook pro 15" early 2011), and it's killing my battery life. It's been this way for years, and has pretty much destroyed my battery. I know it doesn't need the extra power; it's a web browser. Is there any way to fix this? (gfxCardStatus does not allow me to switch to integrated only, before anyone mentions that)

Hey everyone, arsradu's suggestion of installing the new flash player (15 beta) worked for me (at least for now).

I'm also having this problem. For the first time since I started using Opera, it's actually unusable, not just unstable or slow or buggy. Crashing every other minute. I don't want to change to another update stream because the beta has stuff like scores in games and other settings (cookies) that don't transfer. Hopefully either the next beta update or the next yosemite update will fix it.
