THIS IS QUITE CLEARLY A BUG. If it says 250MB, it should NOT gleefully say 'done' when the connection drops momentarily at 200MB. If I can pause/resume the download for a few seconds, then it is NOT the server. But opera hides the resume button!

Just wanted to add that an "open all new tabs as pinned" option would be wanted as well. The option I was struggling to name above is "always allow close on pinned tabs" (if checked prevents the close option on the tab drop-down menu from ever being disabled, even if the tab is pinned) and I'd forget about renaming if I were you.

If there is a way to get all this done by editing some opera.ini file, I'd dearly love to know.

In previous versions of opera you could start downloading a file and preview it, particularly useful with flv files.
IE, Chrome, and now Opera all now start writing file.ext.download or somesuch, and I will admit that might make sense for novice users and is therefore a reasonable default, but there should be an option to just use the final path and name.

As I said on another thread, "Pin tab" behaviour is very nearly almost right

I would dearly love this option as well.

The pin option is almost exactly what I want, except that it disables the close button on the right click drop-down, so my suggestion is to add a check box to tweak the behavior, and perhaps name, of "Pin tab".
