Thank you christoph142 - as I thought, I'm mullered! However, I shall continue with my windup PC that works with or without said 'launcher' until it works no more.

Windows XPHome SP3

Opera 20 threw up message that launcher not loading and to reinstall Opera 20. I reinstalled (it updated to 21 automatically) but the error message is still here and the update failed (I'm still on 20). The browser appears to be working quite normally so as this PC is very old, should I leave everything as it is? I'm a new Opera user as IE, Chrome and Firefox no longer operate properly on the XPHome. Thus far I'm very pleased with Opera 20 and am also using it on my W7 laptop.
