The issue is that when you switch away from a Split Screen view using Ctrl + Tab, the browser does not recognize the split group as the "most recently used" tab element, so pressing Ctrl + Tab again fails to cycle back to it. This appears to be a bug or oversight in the feature's implementation. The current workaround is to manually click the combined tab header or the associated Tab Island to return to the split view.
