Wie ich an anderer Stelle in diesem Thread erwähnt habe, habe ich es versucht. Bei mir hat es nicht funktioniert, da mein Opera nur für meinen Gebrauch in meinem Profil installiert ist.

Die kostenpflichtige Version funktioniert sogar auf der neuesten Version von Opera. Es ist auch kostengünstig, da Zebnet oft Rabatte von 70-90 % an diejenigen sendet, die Interesse gezeigt oder eines der kostenlosen Programme verwendet haben.

After a new clean install of Windows 10 2004, Opera consistently shut down after a few seconds. I thought that this was a problem with build 2004, This was partially correct.
I found that the problem was with the graphics drivers on this computer - AMD ATI Radeon HD 6410 which was installed at the same time as Windows. The clue was in the Events viewer|Windows Log|Application which showed consistent errors with ATIeRecord with event ID of 16388. Opera failed after these events.

AMD no longer support the Radeon 6000 series chipset drivers. The cure for me was to enter c:/AMD/Radion-Software-Adrenalin~~/Bin64 and select the "AMDCleanupUtility". This removes the ATI software and drivers with exception of the Chipset drivers. It returns the PC to using the basic video driver which works correctly and Opera is stable again.

I hope this may assist others who have reported this issue, in resolving the problem. From this position it may be possible to add additional video drivers incrementally if required, while monitoring the event viewer and any potential failures.

This is not an Opera problem but a problem with Windows. I would suggest that you run the system file checker.
Open a command window ( type cmd in the search bar) as administrator and run sfc /scannow.

If this finds no faults, try searching on the Microsoft forums.

I run Opera (latest update vers.68) in Windows 10 Pro. with dual monitor (extended option). I have Opera pinned to the taskbar and usually an additional shortcut on the desktop.

I have had a re-occuring bug since Version 65. It re-occurs about every 3-6 months and shows in one of two ways. 1) when clicking on either icon the taskbar icon is underlined and shows a thumbnail but Opera will not open to full screen. 2) a second icon is generated on the taskbar but behaves as in 1) above. the second icon disappears when close window is selected.

I have found that I can correct this by unpinning the taskbar icon, then deleting the desktop shortcut. Go to the Opera launcher location - for me this is C:\Program Files\Opera\launcher.exe (check- Help|about opera-Paths)
Right click on launcher.exe and pin to taskbar. If required, right click and create shortcut & drag this to the desktop.

I cannot duplicate the problem after curing it to attempt to find out why this happens, so I hope the above may help.

Another option is KLS Mail Backup. Despite its name, it also works with a number of browsers as well as email clients.

Ich habe mich an zebNet gewandt, das Unternehmen, das backup_for_opera_browser_free_edition veröffentlicht hat. I contacted zebNet, the company that published backup_for_opera_browser_free_edition. They were unaware that this program could not recognise Opera if it was installed for "This User Only". They said that they would check the problem. Hopefully they will issue an update if they resolve the issue.

Aber folgender Effekt wird davon leider nicht berührt:
Wenn ich in der Adressleiste rechts das kleine Herz ("zu Lesezeichen hinzufügen") anklicke, wird das Herz-Symbol rot ausgefüllt. Und gleichzeitig erscheint als Popup die Lesezeichenleiste. Ungewollt!

Leider ist dies ein bekanntes Problem, das seit der 22. Oper erneut aufgetreten ist. Es wurde wiederholt in den Foren gesehen. Meines Wissens hat niemand eine Umgehungslösung angeboten.

@burnout426 Thank you for your quick replies. I had totally forgotten about the command line switches. Not used since Opera 15 or before. Sandbox is disabled by default on his PC. I may try Opera Developer, but I have searched for similar reports and not found another, so think it is unique to his computer. I am not sure if the Cortana issues arose with other AV programs, it was not noticed until the re-install of AVG. I will try your suggestions and those of @yanta. Again thank you for your quick replies. I think I am in for the long haul to resolve this issue.

@tannimanni Ich benutze "backup_for_Opera ...." ohne Probleme. Ich stelle von Ihrem ersten Bild fest, dass Opera_Launcher.exe nicht in der üblichen Position ist. Es wird normalerweise unter "C: \ Programme \ Opera \ launcher.exe" installiert. Es scheint, dass "Backup_for_Opera ...." nur dort danach sucht. Der Pfad, den Sie anzeigen, ist normalerweise der Ort, an dem "Opera Stable" (das Profil) installiert ist.

I am trying to assist a friend with a problem with Opera 63 failing to open, when used in conjunction with Anti-virus programs (except Windows Defender). He generally uses AVG Free edition, but the same symptoms existed when AVG was substituted with Avast and then Bitdefender.

He has used Opera Browser for windows since Version 12 or before (I have used it continuously since version 3). The problem started about 1 month ago. It cannot be tied down to a specific change of software or Windows update. System: Dell Optiplex 3010 desktop running Windows10 1903 64 Bit

symptoms.
On starting the PC everything appears normal, antivirus starts with Windows 10. Opera will open and operate normally. If closed down it may open again normally several times. Then it will not open. Windows 10 Task Manager shows opera starting and a Crash Report.
Windows Event Viewer shows no specific problem. At the same time the installed anti-virus program becomes unresponsive. If the computer is rebooted (or re-started) the same symptom may re-occur or both programs will be unresponsive on start-up.

It has also been noticed that sometimes, when this occurs the Cortana search bar also becomes unresponsive and the pc is a little slower. After waiting for 5+ minutes these items may return to normal but may again be unresponsive when used.

Attempts at correction.

1. Uninstall the Antivirus - this is usually successful - Opera works again with Windows Defender alone installed.
2. Changing the Antivirus program - this does not work the same symptoms persist with alternative AV programs.
3. Repair or reinstalling Opera - does not work with AV program installed.
4. Clean Installations of Both programs - i.e. all parts of Opera and AV removed including the Opera stable profile etc. and the Registry cleared of ALL pertinent keys, values and Data - This did not work.
5. As 4 above installed from Safe mode.
6. use a clean install of an older Version of Opera V.60 - This did not work as it immediately updated and then failed (Please Opera give us the option not to update, if only for testing)
7. Finally - Re-install the C-Drive from an Image, with Windows 10 1903 (when First upgraded) -This unexpectedly failed. Opera updated immediately and failed to operate as above despite an older version of AVG installed, which I deliberately did not update. I also stopped Windows from updating the Virgin 1903 upgrade.

Both programs had co-existed under Windows 10 1903 previously.

ANY suggestions welcome.
