I have used FireFox for about 20 years, but it has become so bloated, that is barely functional. Over the past few months I have tried at least a dozen browsers, with disappointing results.
I am a heavy browser user and rely on bookmarks extensively.
Wow! Installing Opera 45 was a pleasant surprise. It mostly meets my needs, which I believe to be very basic. Following are suggestions which I feel are essential to any browser.
1- Separator bars in the bookmarks utility. They are already present as part of the bookmarks utility. How about making them available to users as well. As a side note, I was also going to suggest adding colour to the file & folder icons. As both are (were) grey and of a similar shape, they are difficult to distinguish for visually challenged users. What a pleasant surprise to discover that folder icons are now a pleasant blue colour.
Because I have so many bookmarks, I usually rely on 2 separate browsers. I have recently discovered that creating multiple user profiles is possible in most browsers. I would love to go exclusively with Opera, and started looking into profile creation. I was very surprised that an extension or small utility is not available to assist in this task.
2- I did find some references to profiles in the forum, but IMO, you have to be a coder to utilize that info. It sure would be nice to create separate profiles, rather than being familiar with more than 1 browser & its idiosyncrasies.
Today, I installed the Opera app on my android phone, and it appears to be a major step up from the FireFox app. (It sure would be nice to get rid of Google as the default search engine.)
The same applies to the desktop browser. In most other browsers, you can edit which search engines to keep or delete.
In summary, I am extremely impressed with Opera overall. Your support info & forums appear to be very well organized as well. This may sound counter intuitive; the difference between being great and being world class is often in the small details.
Thank you for all you do.
