Hi,
does somebody know how to show the X to close a tab everytime? Actually it is necessary to move the mouse over the tab which is not possible on tablets. Or Opera One should detect tablet mode in Windows....
Cheers,
Nils

Interesting why the developers are pushing everybody into a splash screen that mostly everybody hates and that does not helps anybody...not Opera and not the users...
Did not find the setting in my version to disable it...
Touch seems not the focus for Opera.
Like Opera but with my small Windows Tablet and large laptop with touch I will perhaps go back to Edge…
Hi.
Hi have an issue with the virtual keyboard with Windows 11. The keyboard does not hide itself if I click something in the HTML page.
It works like expected with Edge browser...without it is very unhandy as the keyboard has to be hidden manually everytime.
Using Opera 105.0.4970.29
How can I open an official incident?

Nils
Hi,
I am using iOS and Windows 11 tablets (convertables) and many pages could not be used with Opera in tablet mode. This includes also pages like Ebay. This ia not a problem for Safari.
Why it is like this....many pages using mouseover event to open a dropdown menu if the mousepointer is over the section. This is not possible is you are in touch only mode in Windows 11. There is no mouseover....
As a result it is not possible to use Opera with many pages and Windows 11 touch device. It is necessary to connect a mouse or touchpad.
Enhancement: Safari converts mouseover events that it will be executed on the first touch. Opera should do the same at least if a touch only device is detected (tablet mode in Windows 11) or if touch is used in general.

Nils

Hi.
As a follow up of https://forums.opera.com/topic/65521/duplicated-x-to-close-a-tab-is-not-usable-with-tablets/8 I like to publish this issues I have with Opera. It would be nice if the moderators can create incidents or enhancement requests for this. It seems that touch devices are forgotten in general by opera but according to Windows 11 the support is coming better and better with every update.
Cheers,
Nils
@leocg Can I create a ticket for additional missing touch support or would it fine to open a new thread to have it separated?
@leocg What is about:

Hi.
I have two 2in1 devices running Windows 11. Using the touchscreen with opera shows issues with many websites (e.g. EBay). Compared with opera IOS e.g. MouseOver events in JavaScript are converted to OnClick events. In Opera Windows this translation is not done so many webpages cannot be used without issues as the events MouseOver an OnClick are executed at once using the touchscreen.
Could be a bug or missing function…so perhaps there is also an extension to solve this. I am open for any ideas as browsing with that devices is not nice in tablet mode.
Cheers
Nils
