@nfranke No worries, you explained it just fine! That does sound really annoying though. It might be some shortcut in Opera that's getting triggered by the en dash. Maybe check the keyboard settings in Opera and see if you can turn that off. Hopefully someone here has a quick fix!

@leocg I did. Searched for “disable animations”, “stop animations”, and so on. Maybe my choice of terms is wrong. Safari once had an extension called “Safari Stand”, I discovered it by chance, never would have come up with the term “stand” otherwise. Hence my asking.
