Is it possible to open a link in a tab island when Auto Tab Islands are disabled?
I want a tab island to be automatically created like when Automatically create tab islands
is enabled but only if I use a shortcut such as Control + Left Click

@michaing: I think this is related to the search engine entries being missing that @ralf-brinkmann and I are facing. Seems like some settings no longer save correctly
@ralf-brinkmann: Same here, all custom search engines are gone. Thankfully they don't seem to disappear if you add them again and restart Opera
Is there way to get the broken extensions back other than reverting to the previous Opera version?
@derloopkat The latest stable Opera version is 105, you need to update to be able to remove this warning
@burnout426 Thank you! That's exactly what I was looking for
@leocg Yes it does, open https://jsonplaceholder.typicode.com/posts in Opera and you'll see a page that looks like the screenshot I posted.
Regardless, I have seen others report this problem and it seems to be a Chromium issue. The latest version of Chromium fixes this and allows extensions to override the viewer
The most recent version of Opera (103.0.4928.16) seems to include a JSON viewer installed that's used when viewing json pages.
Example for https://jsonplaceholder.typicode.com/posts
Is there any way to disable this viewer? It's overriding an extension I use to view JSON that has more functionality than the default viewer.
I see no option in the settings, opera://flags or the extension list when running Opera with --show-component-extension-options
If it is not possible to disable it is there any way for an extension to take precedence over the default viewer?
I had this same issue but I managed to get it working by going to the Opera installation folder and running the Opera.exe inside the latest version folder.
@nashuim: Managed to get it working by manually launching version 102 from the installation folder instead of the launcher
I updated to this version and now Opera won't start. It shows the splash screen and then nothing. Anything I can do?
Did they mention anything about the ability to name tab islands?
@creedboydc: If you have two windows and try to move a tab from one to another you can't. It's pretty easy to replicate this by moving a tab to its own window and then trying to put it back to the window it was originally in
Dragging a tab doesn't let you add it to an existing window like it used to. You can only create a new window now
@darthgtb: What a feature to miss. And you just know Opera is gonna take years to add it back as always
