@burnout426 Nope, it's the Opera Cashback extension. The person replying to that StackOverflow as solved has it wrong. It's the "getdify" extension, that is, the Opera Cashback feature. You can see in the screenshot above that it comes from that extension, and in the StackOverflow as well, when suggested to silence those messages, the extension that gets added to the ignore list is "getdify" aka Cashback.

Opera Cashback extension is spamming console.log statementsGeneral
@leocg Why was the topic deleted? This is a legit bug report, for which there is even a StackOverflow open https://stackoverflow.com/questions/77211052/messageevent-console-log-is-spamming-my-console-can´t-get-rid-of-it
It's already quite impressive that Opera managed to commit and even ship
console.log
statements, people are searching the internet for solutions to this problem, so instead of deleting you might want to pass this over to developers and let us know that the issue will be fixed in the next release. -
Sync should support workspacesSynchronization
Sync does not support workspaces, or at least a very buggy version of it. Also, about:activity does not work well.
It seems that only the current workspace is visualized in activity, and it is synced to sync service. Sometimes sync decides to create a new section, with the same identical name of the device it is syncing from, with duplicate tabs mixed with tabs from another workspace. Accessing this from mobile is a complete mess.
Sync should simply detect that the device is the same, and sync all tabs organized per workspace.

[Mac] Double Command+Q quits and then reopens the browserGeneral
Just to add to the infinite list of bugs of >100 release, now with 103 quitting with double Command+Q will reopen the browser once it shuts down... in order to quit and keep it quit, one has to use the menu bar...

RE: [Compilation]Data Loss After An Update/UpgradeGeneral
Get your stuff together, seriously. I think this is the last chance I'm going to give Opera, the browser I've been using for more than 2 decades. Next time it loses everything again, I'm out for good.
Can we please start paying for the browser in exchange for some quality and the removal of all the pointless annoyances and bugs that 100 brought?
Now it starts again the reinstallation of tens of extensions and reopening of all the tabs...
On the bug itself, it's almost as if it created a new profile, all tabs and extensions are gone. History is there however.

RE: [Compilation]Data Loss After An Update/UpgradeGeneral
@bigg-analls confirmed, updated to 103 and lost again all of the open tabs....

RE: The adblocker is not working topic (Opera for Desktops)Opera for computers
I wonder if Opera is purposefully trying to lose users here... now we get ads from YT? I updated to see if they managed to fix the tab loss and the rest of the list they got wrong with 100, instead I got YT ads... amazing.

RE: Restore "last open tabs" after crashGeneral
This happened again to me for the second time. All my tabs gone after manually restoring them... what a disaster of a release.

RE: General Opera One Feedback TopicGeneral
@peak4 It happened to me as well this morning. All the tabs gone across 5 workspaces. Yes, Opera was shutdown normally. It crashed several times due to the extension bar bug that I filed, but each time after auto restart, all the tabs were there. This morning it was all gone.

[Duplicated][Request]Show workspace name om Move ToAppearance
It would also be better if it would display the name of the workspaces as it did before. The icon hardly represent what the workspace is about given the limited selection.

RE: [Request]Give an option to remove the pointless round cornersAppearance
@hatethenewgui The UI elements don't bother me. It's the webpages viewport that now has rounded corners. This is not supposed to happen. But yeah, if there was an option to turn all the rounded corners off, I'd surely use it!

[Duplicated]Bitwarden and other extensions only work in default workspaceGeneral
Can't use Bitwarden on any other workspace other than the default one. Even when switching workspace, BW still thinks to be on the tab currently selected in the default workspace. Not the first time that Opera breaks one of the most popular password managers out there. Can we get urgent fix on this?
-
RE: Bitwarden only knows about the active tab in "default" workspaceGeneral
Thanks for making me notice this. Confirmed... same behavior. Certain extensions should be considered in regression tests by Opera...

RE: [Duplicated]Non-clickable gap above tabsAppearance
I really don't know what happened to the designers here. Just upgraded to opera one and from a design standpoint there is not a single thing that makes sense. Wasteful use of space with gaps all over the place. Round corners where not necessary (they are never necessary). Extensions in sidebar now squished at the very bottom. Workspace change animation that takes half a second and break the user concentration. I'm reverting back if possible.

[Request]Give an option to remove the pointless round cornersAppearance
The round corners are distracting and break several websites that have interactions at the corners. Please give an option to turn off this.
-
RE: The interface has become much worse.General
I agree and the workspace switching animation is completely user hostile. Please give an option to disable it.

Crash on MacOS when clicking extension panelGeneral
There is a consistent crash that happens on MacOS when clicking on the small colored bar at the right of the extension panel.
