@leocg I see. Then I don't understand what this message on the bottom left is about (shown in the attached picture). And can I remove it somehow if it's useless?

Messenger (Sidebar) perpetually out of dateOpera for Windows
Hello,
So, Messenger from sidebar is always out of date, and there's this weird rectangle at the left bottom corner reading "New! Messenger app for" with a download icon on the left, and if you press it, an installation file for messenger is downloaded.
However it doesn't update opera's messenger, but installs the messenger windows application on the computer.
How do I update the messenger of the sidebar though? Updating opera itself never worked for it, I'm on latest version and the sidebar is still outdated.
I do remember, however, months or years ago, when a horizontal line appeared on the top of the sidebar, asking me if I wanted to update it. This no longer happens ( obviously, otherwise I woulnd't be writing this ). What gives? How do I update now?

@catalin560 said in For the love of God, please make it so that I can choose my own default search engine!:
type a keyword every damn time I use my favorite search engine... I mean even Google Chrome lets you choose any search engine as a default one so why is this missing from Opera? Mobile Opera
This is for security reasons as far as I understand, however, like you said: For the love of God, please make it so that we can choose different search engines.
Opera bloody puts the Greek Google (.gr) as my default engine just because of the Greek IP my computer was on.
Granted, I am Greek, but I want the American or English version of google as my default engine, and I can't even have that
Let alone a different engine altogether... -
RE: Support "Android Messages" as a sidebar element, similar to WhatsApp and TelegramSuggestions and feature requests
This is a great feature which, if added to opera, I'm going to use every day.
Having the ability to send SMS from Opera because it's connected to my phone via messages.google.com is very helpful indeed.I'm really hoping to see this.
