I'm running latest win10 as of 4-26-23 with all updates installed on an HP laptop. Until several days ago Opera GX ver 97 (the latest version) was working fine; for reasons I can not explain it began freezing shortly after it opened and I had done no new installs of any other programs. 2 full days of trying to get it to function again I finally had to uninstall it. I did not save any logs or info from the installation. I tried everything I could think of to make it work from doing a win10 restoration back to several months ago to uninstalling and reinstalling Opera several times to running the "sfc" command on win10 itself. Nothing worked. I finally gave up and just completely uninstalled it and starting using Firefox. If anyone else is having this kind of spontaneous problem please chime in with any fixes or solutions you discovered. I'm currently outta time to fool with it but will try working with it again sometime next week. Meanwhile, any possible solutions anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Unable to locate any download site for installing chrome extensions into Opera GXOpera GX
@leocg So there is no longer any "restriction" on installation of "outside opera store extensions" on the Opera browser? Wow, who knew. I've not seen in my hours and hours of searching any hint or notice that such could be done. Thank you. Hopefully, this thread will alert other Opera GX users that it can now be done.

Unable to locate any download site for installing chrome extensions into Opera GXOpera GX
Win10 Pro; Opera GX version: LVL4 (core: 94.0.4606.96)
Before a recent update I was able to install chrome extensions into my opera gx. After, no long able to do so. that extension has disappeared from my version. In searching for the "install chrome extension" on web, whenever I get a promising lead and click on the site, I get error message saying: "that page/file is no longer available".Other than CRX files, anyone know how to get chrome extension functionality back? Or am I missing a "trick" that others know and that I don't.
Thanks for any input you might be able to provice.
