What are your font settings? Try to change them.
I just found out GDI font rendering has been removed from Chromium. It only renders with DirectWrite now. Bad news for all browsers that are Chromium based. It looks like I'm going back to slow Firefox.
The fonts are very tiny and hard to read on this version. What happened? Please fix this.
What happens if you change Windows theme/color?
It happens only on Windows 7 aero themes. I tried on Windows 7 basic, and the black doesn't appear anymore.

I see the black tab bar in the latest x64 build, in the 32-bit that part is fine here (but there are other issues ...)
I am using the 32bit version of Opera.
Something related to GPU acceleration (or directwrite) perhaps?
I disabled both and the problem is still there. It only happens in this beta version.
Since Disqus is the biggest garbage I ever used, I decided to post a bug I found on here.
