Unfortunately, the new design elements do not contribute at all to a better workflow. On the contrary, space is unnecessarily wasted.

At the very least, there should be an option to turn off these design gimmicks.

With the latest WhatApp update from today (22. July 2022) WhatsApp in Opera Sidebar stopped working totally.
It shows an empty area with just "Error" in the title bar.
