At the URL opera://settings/clearBrowserData, make sure you don't have anything checked on the "On Exit" tab.

@leocg I do type many letters, my point is it's not saving history after a certain time. Also not keeping me logged in on a lot of sites. Basically I've gone back to Firefox, tried to give Opera a chance but it just sucks.
