RE: opera 32 is a major failOpera for Windows
thank you for such a detailed post.
right now my main concern is getting my tabs back.
no my history is not a feasable option because i had pinned tabs from way back when that are nto in my history.
are you telling me that there is absolutely no way for me to find what tabs i had open?
not even by using an undelete program?
because opera does not keep a lastsession.db file anymore?
i dont mean to sound rude, but whose genius idea was it to stop keeping this file when making opera 32?
and why has opera sync completely failed at getting ym tabs back? was it lieing to me when it told me it was syncing my stuff?

opera 32 is a major failOpera for Windows
So a began a download from google drive yesterday for a large file (400 MB) and it was taking a while so I walked away. I returned later to find that not only did opera couldn't handle the file and it crashed, but it crashed the OS all together. This is just the beginning.
I restart the computer open opera and find that I LOST ALL 40 TABS THAT I HAD OPEN!
No problem, I can just use the recover tab button right? NO, IT HAS NO OPTION TO RECOVER ANY TAB!!!
Again no problem, I can just sign back into opera link and get my tabs back right? NO, I SIGN BACK IN TO OPERA LINK AND IT DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Not only this, but I tried to sing in to opera link from the website AND THERE IS NO OPTION TO VIEW OPEN TAB INFO!
Ok again no problem, let me just look for the autosave.win or the lastsession.db file to see if it is restoreable. THE FILE DOES NOT EXIST!
I use recuva to undelete the file, AND STILL NOTHING IS FOUND! Apparently opera 32 does not use either of these files to store session data.
Ok so let me visit opera forums and do some research, THERE IS NO INFORMATION ON HERE ABOUT HOW OPERA STORES SESSION DATA IN OPERA 32.
To say that this has been a disaster is an understatement. I come here in hopes that somebody may know how or where opera 32 stores its session data and how to recover it. This is been a very negative experience for me and I am so mad at opera that I am just about done with it.
why would the lastsession.db and autosave.win be completely be removed from opera 32 without a support article to guide the user on how to work in place of it completely confuses me. this is irresponsible at the least.
i come to the forums to find dozens of people havign crashed sessions and lost tab info with no solution, and the suggestion is to install a google chrome extension to save sessions for next time?? are you seriious?
