Is there no way to install better PC themes to the apparently just two options? This, for me, is a fatal flaw and the reason Opera is not my main man and never will be. The Light and the Dark make it almost impossible to distinguish which tab is open.

RE: Opera theme shortageOpera for Windows
@leocg I use the latest version of Opera for PC, but the same issue existed in previous versions. In Settings, Appearance, there are only three options, two in practice. Dark, Light and System. System and Light are identical, so I don't even know what's up with that. For me, the Light is a little bit easier to identify the active tab than the Dark, but the difference is tiny. On both, the active tab color is almost exactly like the other tabs, but there is a hair of difference. When I want to close the active tab I always have to pause and concentrate to make sure of what I am closing. There are many themes in the Chrome Store on which the tab difference is stark, completely different, which avoids this annoying issue. Strangely, the extensions in the Chrome Store are usable on Opera. Just the themes are not. This problem does not exist on most themes available in the Chrome Store. But we cannot apply those themes to Opera. Why not? Chrome extensions, yes. Themes, no. Baffling.
If you have no trouble identifying the active tab, you've got far sharper eyes than I do.

@leocg Yep, but doesn't solve the basic problem. Opera needs more themes. All the other browsers I have seen and used, and that would be Lots, have more themes than Light and Dark. It's odd. And deficient. Bring the issue up the next time you're in China, or wherever management meets. Thanks in advance.

@leocg You don't think Opera needs more themes, that two are enough? Every other major browser, and I mean every one of them, offers scads of themes. It's much better. As for Opera GX, I see it's for gamers primarily. I leave that to the under-30 crowd. But thanks for the responses. I think we've taken this topic as far as necessary. Buenas noches from Mexico.
