It was 90% not 95% so we're part of the 10% who do actually add bookmarks.

Since 2007 we’ve been asking randomly-selected people if we could anonymously collect information from their Opera install (via opera:config#UserPrefs|EnableUsageStatistics) so we could see the features they use. Some of these users have volunteered to give us this data since 2007.
Pesala, I'm new here and may not understand the ins and outs of Opera just yet, but I am pretty well versed in the public that use computers at home. I believe you would have better success at finding your answers through surveys rather than relying on on collected information. Most people I know, from power user to newbie, select "no" to sharing usage information from any software. Out of the many people I've dealt with both professionally and personally, not once have I come across someone who did not use bookmarks. If Opera's choice to remove bookmarks is based on captured, or shared data, I believe they are missing a very large customer base. I could be wrong, but based on what I've experienced since the first IBM home computer was sold, it is my opinion.
As I stated, I am new to Opera and am hoping I've found the new browser I would like to have. Is there some "add-on" app I should look for to hold my bookmarks? If I'm unable to keep bookmarks in Opera, then I won't be able to continue using it. I do a lot of research and must refer to many different sites, so bookmarks are essential to my needs.
While I have readers attention, I wanted to ask about "speed dial." Is there a way to turn it off? I prefer to have each tab open to my homepage. The other issue I have, which is sort of connected to bookmarks, is a quick link bar. Is that available in Opera? If it isn't, I would like to request it be added in future releases. It sure is handy to have little icons near the address bar that will take me to the places I want to go.
I look forward to learning more about Opera and hope I can find a way for it to meet my needs.
