Ah... I remember that this was advertised in one of betas, it must have been removed from final release....

I've found solution for speed dial only: You can edit other speed dials and you have to access it via "bookmarks" ctrl+a ctrl+c your speed dials, then ctrl+v them to other devices speed dials, removing old ones before. Not automatic but better than manually having to copy few dozens of pages to each device

I've recently moved from Opera 12 to Opera 30 + Opera Mail and I've found some problems that I can't solve

1st is the syncing - I can't get it to sync together. I'm logged in on devices, but Speed dial, passwords are not syncing, opened tabs either. I can see that this is stored somewhere as thru button on Speed Dial I can see what is opened on other devices (and on each device is something diffrent), I can click each entry, but I can't get it to sync, eg get my tabs from PC to laptop. What I'm doing wrong?

2nd thing is Opera Mail (IMAP accounts) and issues with deleting mail, especially spam. Every time I delete a message from spam folder it gets redownloaded, sometimes even mail from trash folders reappear. On my laptop I also have an issue with some messages being duplicated, moreover e-mails are not perfeclty synced between PC and mail and this applies to two diffrent IMAP accounts.

Funny thing - I have no issues with deleting e-mails from INBOX folders.

One more thing: Is there a way to customize Speed Dial apart from background? It looks... Odd with all those random, bright colors and fonts, it also needs resizing as it doesn't fit my screen anymore. I've noticed that Facebbok and Youtube use logos for speed dial entries, but all other doesn't. Is there a way to do that? Or even better - something around Opera 9 Speed Dial was displaying miniature versions of webpages, later on it was changed to jist the part with logo banner, is there a way to enable this?

Found the solution and it is to run Opera 30 with following command:

"D:\Program Files\Opera\launcher.exe" --with-feature:import-presto-profile --presto-small-prefs-dir="C:\Program Files\Opera\profile" --presto-large-prefs-dir="C:\Program Files\Opera\profile"

Presto Opera is on drive C:, Google-based Opera is on drive . Passwords work, speed dial looks odd, but was imported.

Not sure if they changed something but the data import from Opera Presto should be done automatically.
I was hoping that this would happen as previosly Opera has displayed an update window...

hat happens if you set Opera 12.17 as your default browser and then reinstall Opera 30?

On laptop? Yes. I've installed Opera 30, then Opera 12.17 then reinstalled Opera 30 twice - Once keeping user data , and the other time as a clean install, still can't see Opera 12.17 in import menu.

On PC? I have had Opera for years so Opera 30 was installed afterwards. I'd like to avoid reinstalling Opera, it survived so many bizzare events, including partial file system failiure (imagine disabling mirror RAID, running from one disc only and then restarting RAID with mismatched data like nothing ever happened instead of rebuilding disk 2 from disk 1), I think that it has even survived manual copying from Windows XP to Windows 7, or at least one system reinstall

Okay I've figured out a workaround... Sort of!

As my laptop has a clean install I've switched directly to Opera 30. So what I'm trying to do is:
-Installing Opera 12.17 (no issues)
-Using Opera Link to sync everything (No issues)

And now I'm trying to import data from Opera 12.17 to Opera 30 on a laptop and guess what - Opera 30 does not give me an option for "Opera 12.x", just IE and again Chrome (again - already deleted as it was preinstalled from system recovery image).

Any suggestions?

Afterwars I'll use Opera... Link-like thing that is present in Opera 30 to share the data back to desktop... If I manage to do it on laptop!

Aha! Now "Opera 12.x" appears in "import" menu (previously I had only IE or Chrome - Funny, because I don't have Chrome installed, although it once has installed bloatware-style with some software update).

The thing is that it doesn't have any choice to point where the browser is or something - I had multiple Opera installs in past (like Opera Next, 2nd install on other drive, once I had to "overwrite" Opera install with another one after I messed up file system on my drive etc.) and I believe it pulls data from some long forgotten and dead install folder - just few items got imported, with some old "default" Speed Dial items.

Any way to point Opera 30 where is my Opera 12 and where to pull data from?

Nope. I'm writing from new Opera (30-something) now and neither speed dial nor passwords are imported.

Is there a way to import those from Opera 12 somehow? Like maybe pull it from Opera Link or something?

I'd like to finally uprade my browser as I managed to somehow resolve issues with mail that kept me stuck with old Opera and I've ran into problem with browser thinking that it is "up to date". I don't want to make a clean install to retain passwords, speed dial, etc.

Opera popped an update window just few days ago but I was not ready for transition yet. Now it thinks that there is no update when I manually check for updates.

How to force update on Presto or how to easily move data to new browser?
