Literally anything that tries to play video causes the page to crash. Opera has become completely unusable in the new update. (Zorin OS 17.3)

Instagram page crashes; dropbox video page crashes.

Aren't you gonna add soundcloud back in?

I think in addition to video animated background, you should implement custom fragment shaders like some of these beautiful ones implemented in https://www.shadertoy.com

@andrew84 Sorry my memory is bad but I remember it's been there for a long time.

They must have patched it with an ad hoc solution. If you try to scroll the easy setup or a pdf file it still doesn't work even on Windows.

@andrew84: All it takes is to change the event from mouse down to mouse click. But they won't do it; they don't care.

This problem has been reported since 2020 and it still persists. Trying to drag the scrollbar on the right drags the entire window. Ubuntu 24.04 on Wayland 1600x900 resolution, no fractional scaling.

@DerSchlingel Maybe it disappears once you get a fresh install!

@burnout426 I have two fresh installations of Opera now, one on Ubuntu one on Windows 10. The windows 10 one has Slack but not Soundcloud, the Ubuntu one has Soundcloud but not Slack!! Is it region-based?

I could add Soundcloud as a custom site, but at the expense of no mini player. Thanks.
