Hey, guys. Just as the title says, I work with folders in Google Drive primarily for work, and recently I've been noticing some pretty severe slowdowns whenever I try to switch between folders. At first, it was a barely noticeable twitch, but now it can freeze up for a second or longer. I opened up the Opera task manager to see if I could identify any weirdness, and here's what I found:
-Normally in terms of CPU usage, my Opera tabs range between 0 and 3 at rest.
-When clicking a link or folder on any other website, this can spike up to 40 for an instant, then go back down again.
-A Google Drive tab with no files open, just looking at a folder, ranges from 2 to 12 at rest, spiking seemingly at random.
-When switching folders, this spikes all the way to 200 or beyond and stays static for extended periods, during which I cannot interact with the tab.
Is this something that I can fix? Maybe in my Opera or PC preferences? It's becoming a real impedance to my work, adding seconds to every task (which, granted, doesn't sound like a lot, but it's longer than things took before.) I don't have a very beefy computer, but it should be more than capable of running multiple browser tabs. Here are my specs, if that helps:
Windows 10 Pro 64bit v.22H2
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core 3.4 GHz
8 gigs RAM
NVIDIA G-Force GTX 970
