Terrible vpn, it advertises that it connects instantly on opera startup which is completely false and I had to it manually each time. Not only does it lie about that but it overrides and prevents other vpns from doing so, leaving your IP address completely exposed when it wouldn't have been if you never installed this crappy thing. Easily the worst vpn I've tried out of quite a few.

@leocg Sorry can you explain what you mean with your suggestions, I just tried changing the location for downloads to another folder on another hard drive and I'm still having the same problem if that's what you mean.

@leocg Would you recommend reinstalling opera from scratch at this point? Unless there's some hidden settings or something I could do to completely disable it as I've never seen or needed it before in the 5 or so years of using opera.

@leocg No, they all say "Download complete". Happens with programs and images from multiple sources.

@leocg They always say complete if that's what you're talking about so no, from what I can tell nothing is wrong

@leocg What exactly do you mean by broken? I've tried a bunch of regular image files and they all open and are perfectly normal.

[Solved]Downloads causing red opera icon even though they didn't failOpera for Windows
This is on a new pc with the latest version(70.0.3728.106) and I've searched all over the forums and none of the suggested fixes work, I've tried turning my anti-virus off(malwarebytes), clearing downloads list(even though that's not even a fix) and restarting my pc. They are definitely not failing and it's happening to even something as small as an image, is there any way of disabling this feature somewhere if there isn't a solution as I literally don't care about it telling me about failed downloads, I just don't want an eyesore in my taskbar or have to restart opera every time I download something.
