Nope still same problem! - Also exists with a fresh profile..
If I right-click the button and open link in new tab / window; it works flawlessly!

Using Opera (56.0.3051.99) and Ubuntu 18.04 (Gnome shell version)
If I click on the 'Download button' (top right),

Opera hangs for about 5 minutes with the HDD spinning wildly.
Expected behaviour is for it to open a new window with the image in a new tab.
Chrome and FF both work flawlessly!
