This situation is apparently widespread since I've been searching high and low for an answer! I do not 'get' URLs in my bar when using this browser.
I absolutely adore Opera...except for this.
Will anyone send me a reliable link or tell me in detail what to do to remedy this? I am fairly new to computers, so tailor your answers to a 5 year old!
Many thanks,

RE: URLs in OperaOpera for Windows
I have version 32. I see nothing at all in the address bar! Thanks so much, sgunhouse, for your reply, but I have applied your steps and they don't seem to work. I have checked the show full URL...and still it does not. Perhaps I should write Opera about this? >
What version of Opera? You can select About Opera from the menu to see.
Opera will normally show you only the domain until you click in the address bar, but there is a setting to always show the full URL if you prefer. Go to Settings, if necessary click on Browser, then scroll to the bottom to enable Advanced Settings. Above that in the User Interface section you'll now see a checkbox labeled "Show full URL in combined search and address bar" - select that.
God, I pressed '' in your comment and this happened, sorry! What version of Opera? You can select About Opera from the menu to see.
