I have to agree with donq here though in the latest Opera versions I have been able to force pages that display incorrectly to display correctly by immediately forcing a refresh when the page finishes loading.
Must trip a "Try a different encoding" flag?

RE: Features suggestion for new OperaSuggestions and feature requests
I have a feature that I would like to suggest: A 'sort by alphabetical' thing in the Bookmarks pane.
Yes, you can sort by alphabetical in the Opera button\Bookmarks dropdown menu, but there is a problem with that: When you have restored your bookmarks on a clean computer install from Opera Sync? Nothing is shown in the "My Folders" dropdown.
Everything is shown correctly in the Bookmarks pane from Speed Dial but not in that folder. -
RE: Opera 25.0 - Where have all settings gone?Opera for Windows
Do you really need all those settings? Personally, I am grooving on the more spartan Opera settings things. The only thing that I wish they would bring back is a way to mandate how much disk cache I want Opera to use or in my case, none since I have nearly 16GB's of RAM memory available for Opera to use.

RE: Where is "Import Bookmarks and Cookies?"Opera for Windows
No way to do what you are asking yet. They are working on the import bookmarks functionality but at the moment it is basically a TEDIOUS manual process.
Take that from someone who had to change all his Speed Dial 'bookmarks' to the new Bookmarks schema.Edit: Oh, there is an edit post on these forums. You see the little "Gear" icon underneath where the profile picture would be if you had one (where the 'unknown man' is right now).
Click on that and you can edit posts for up to 30 minutes after the post was made and 30 minutes from the time the last edit was made. -
RE: Not digging the new Start PageOpera for Windows
Edit: Sorry to respond to my own post, but after having a friend advise me of how it could be easier to import bookmarks, I will admit I was overly harsh and backstep here.
The new Speed Dial is fine and the synergy between the Bookmarks file and the Speed Dial is pretty good once I moved all the bookmarks that I had saved on the Speed Dial to the new Bookmarks.Like that the new Bookmarks has snapshots of the pages like the old Speed Dial, it makes it MUCH easier to tell when a link has gone dead if it looks on occasion to make sure that the page is still up.

RE: Exporting Speed Dial and Stash pages (bookmarks)Opera for Windows
With all due respect, I do not believe that we should have to use an external tool to do this. Opera should include a way to export Speed Dial to a file (hell, by this time we should have Sync back!).
It also appears that they are moving away from Speed Dial for anything but the most commonly accessed websites to a regular Bookmarks file once again.
Except that they have not made a tool that allows us to easily transfer what was once on the Speed Dial page to the new Bookmarks Page!
Just seems like they have no idea what direction they wish to take Opera in at the moment. -
Not digging the new Start PageOpera for Windows
I might be in the minority on this subject, but I am not digging the new Start Page in Opera 25 and have reverted to the old start page.
Where should I start with my complaints:- The new start page does not show the name of the link in question until after you mouse over it, which makes it hard to impossible to find a specific link quickly in the Speed Dial.
- It appears that you are fragmenting things by going back to having a Speed Dial AND a Bookmarks file. It also is hard or more time-consuming to move the things that are on Speed Dial to the new Bookmarks file.
Basically, I think that you had it near perfectly with the original Speed Dial and phasing out the Bookmarks file.
