@bigskytroutbum: absolutely a bug, I came to this page for the same exact problem, absolutely hate this and not need it in the least bit, if you need more memory on your system, RAM is very cheap

The solution is to do a Full Recovery on your browser, (Opera menu - top left "O" -> Update and Recovery), but this is highly inconvenient and only temporary, eventually it will happen again.

This is a major problem that needs to be fixed asap, it's ridiculous how eventually the entire browser crashes instantly when browsing one of the most popular websites on the web. It is 99.9999% certain this is related to the Opera Amazon extension that most of us disable, so please, either give up on forcing us to use it, or we will have to switch to another browser that does not do this.
