Right click open with notepad > find gxx_flags
on bottom row it says true, change it to false and save the file, restart opera. boom old UI.

If you haven't fixed it already, go to C:\Users*username*\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera GX Stable and edit the "Local State" file you can change this from true to false it should fix it, well it did for me

Just to add one more reason I hate the new UI is that under Themes, the option for colors is different, before we had to choose 4 colors, now its only 2, and they are not acting the same way.
While I really love Opera, I decided to try Opera Air but I was presented with the same issue as with Opera One, the white 1px pixel on the borders of the browser, this drives me insane on dark webpages...
Currently my solution is to use Opera GX as there the 1px pixel is missing.

@sklunk: have you tried to reinstall your work laptop 
the website loads fine for me as well, and not changing anything on your side doesn't mean that it right. If some certificates are baked in your firewall and maybe the new opera releases load the certificate from other place its getting this mismatch

@righteyereaper I could not handle it more than 1 hour, I switched to Opera GX... its almost ok there, the UI is differnet too but not retarded.
the new borders make scrolling unusable, watching youtube videos as well. I moved to Opera GX for now, but its not ideal as i am unable to make it look like a normal browser...
@lnmoonique Omg my opera updated and its now opera one and this is the most annoying thing...... also the blue bar when watching youtube....
I don't always reinstall windows, but when I do, I really miss my extensions...

Too bad opera 12 is losing support for too many sites (witch was the case for a very long time for opera team as too many sites dont like Presto) and I had to go for OperaBlink.
