There are sites that put ad links ON the player area so that you can only even see any controls after a "preliminary" hit there. Pop-up blocking helps to get able to simply USE such things.
The thing is that I didn't get about such behaviour at all for rather long myself. So no offence - maybe you're in your such early stage of experience:) Just saying:) What's your Opera and your system's configuration?

Try installing it, but firstly install this one: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/download-chrome-extension-9/?display=en. Note that I don't know how effective is the extension called ''Gif Blocker''.
