@arturdpo I think Snap's version has some issues. Try installing Opera from the official repository.

@arturdpo Maybe you have to do what I posted above. It could be some codec issue. If you have any autoplay stopper, you should add Google Meet (or whatever site you are using) to the whitelist, not only to the Opera's whitelist.

@arturdpo Maybe you need to also do this: https://forums.opera.com/topic/34659/opera-linux-browser-h-264-support-through-x264-open-source-codec?_=1614200894401
First you need to download the file from here: https://github.com/iteufel/nwjs-ffmpeg-prebuilt/releases
Hope this works!

@markobu Try adding Google Meet to the whitelist (exceptions) of the Opera ad blocker.

Open Notifications on Messenger Add-OnsSuggestions and feature requests
It would be great if one could click on the messenger notifications and open WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, etc. in the add-ons instead of opening new tabs on the browser.

RE: Opera Consumes CPU Memory RAMOpera for Linux
Do you know if that which consumed so much RAM was a web site? I had the same issues with a LinkedIn Learning page, which was consuming near 3GB of RAM (that single page!). It was almost impossible to use my laptop. The page's RAM management was insane! It started consuming a regular amount of RAM, but it somehow increased it by the second. Maybe you're experiencing something similar. After I closed that page, my whole system went back to life again.

RE: Latest Update Broke the Opera UIOpera for Linux
I have been noticing that, the click-tab-to-go-to-page-top funcion is apparently being overwritten by the go-to-page-top button you can find in some sites. The only pages the function won't work are those that have this button. It really bothers me as these pages are mainly forums in which I constantly go up and down and I'm too much accustomed to this function. This isn't as much an attrocity as the problem with the menus, but they should correct it.

RE: Latest Update Broke the Opera UIOpera for Linux
Opera just launched a new update, the 71.0.3770.171. Not only they didn't fix this issue, but without hardware acceleration, menus don't even exist (in my first post I explained that on 71.0.3770.148, menus did exist, but they weren't shown without hardware acceleration).

@vr51 I know. I always disable it, but unfortunately this is the only remedy.

I just fixed this issue by enabling the Use hardware acceleration when available option and relaunching Opera. Give it a try, guys!

RE: Latest Update Broke the Opera UIOpera for Linux
I'm experiencing the exact same issues with the 71.0.3770.148 version. I'm on Ubuntu 20.04. The actual problem is that the right click works, but the menus are not displayed. Not a single menu.
Should you click on a folder of the bookmark bar, you will notice that the bookmarks are not shown, but if you left-click randomly on any place a bookmark should be, the bookmark will actually work.
In any case, the UI is unusable this way.
Please fix this. Is an awful bug!
