Until Opera has no built-in ad-block for YouTube as Brave does, I refuge using Opera no matter its design is.

Another thing to point out is that Opera-creators want to put things into the nature that do not belong there - "hugge". If I want to work on a computer, I need a nice warm and dry environment around me for being able to focus. If I want to join the nature then I do not take the computer with me.

Then, I clicked "Log in to post" which opened a pop-up window. I logged on. Then the pop-up window told me that it would be safe to close the window which I did. Again, I have to click "Log in to post". I did that just now. Again, a pop-up window opened, this time with forums. I closed that window. I need to click the button for the third time and its text displayed is "Post a comment" now.

You guys are far for a user-friendly system.

I guess that exactly this ad-blocker makes YouTube so slow that it is painful to use it at all. So I quit using Opera and go back to Chromium as my default browser.

Nowadays, I am getting modal windows from YouTube with the message that I am using an adblocker and it offers two options: removing it or buying a subscription.

If I click a mail link then the current tab card will be replaced by Gmail. In the system settings, I have set Thunderbird as the default mail client.

On the sidebar, I open Aria or ChatGPT. I switch to terminal emulator or anywhere else. If I return to Opera then I see that Aria or ChatGPT being open however if I click somewhere inside it or even scroll, it disappears and I need to re-click the icon on the sidebar which is very annoying.

Sometimes a video stops playing and yellow ad bands will be shown forever.

@leocg I did. The approach is not simple enough and does not want me to prefer Opera to Firefox or Chrome as I need to take some extra steps. In addition, that thread did not help me as only some videos were playing in a higher resolution afterwards but videos outside YouTube not at all. It seems that Opera has too many parts missing in comparison to the mentioned browsers.

It does not work as the one for "Chrome". I still see some interruptions and some of them last as long as the ad. At least I do not see the content of the ad.

@leocg I have three computers with Opera installed and in none of them, videos play fine. Outside of YouTube, normally no video plays at all in Opera.
