The culprit Is the "Acceptable Ads" feature: Disabling it and leaving the Ad Blocker on keeps websites working.

I’m in a very similar boat! I just submitted a new theme today, and I also have an audio extension waiting in the moderation queue since late June. It seems like the review times are just a bit long for everyone right now.
I guess we just need to be patient while the team works through the backlog. Hang in there, and best of luck with your approval! The extension sounds great, let us know when it goes live.
