Yes. Always set to accept all cookies but to delete them when I close browser.

I was able to login, & opena new topic composer having only enabled javascript via site preferences.
I used Quick preferences > Edit site preferences to turn them on before I logged in, again when I got to the login screen, And one more time afer I was redirected to the forums, and for this copy of opera, it's working...

I used Opera to aquire a free s/mime certificate from https://cert.startcom.org/. I was able to export the certificate following these instructions from startcom:"Opera: Select from "Settings" -> "Preferences" -> "Advanced" -> "Security" -> "Manage Certificates" -> "Personal". Click on "Export" and choose a name for this backup file. Make sure to choose the .p12 for PKCS12 extension, not the default .usr."
I was then able to use openssl to extract the pem format files my email client needed to use it for smime signing and/or rncryption.
However I multiboot several linux distributions on 3 computers and wanted to import the pkcs12 file into the opera installedto my other frequently used computer. But after i input my password O got an "Problem with certificate" popup that said "The certificate's chain was not ordered correctly"... I've since tried to import the certificate to opera on each and every other Linux I've got.

Opera as installed from the Distribution repositories for Mageia Linux, Opensuse Linux, Bodhi Linux, & antiX Linux. In every case the certificate couln't be imported. I hadn't wanted to use firefox to manage my smime certificates. But I've had no problem importing this same PKCS12 certificate to firefox. (so far to 3 of my Linux installations) But I think Opera's certificate handleing is broken.

It certainly doesn't work with the same opera instalation with which I wasn't able to post this message (see my feedback message posted today May 14 3014) which is according to "help about"

I used to love opera. But I'm rapidly developing a bad feeling about it's future.

I'm posting this with firefox. My firefox is potected with noscript extention, had to add temp javascript permission to "d2jc9zwbrclgz3.cloudfront.net" before I could post here with firefox... Prior to that when I tried with opera:

(I much prefer to only turn it on for specific sites...)

The sequence is I would login to forum. select forum of interest click on the "Start New Disscusion" button and be redirected to the page that acknowleged that I had logged in."https://auth.opera.com/account/login/success?service=forums" instead of the new discussion composition editor.

That sequence was the same with firefox untill I added the cloudfront site to noscripts list. BUT even turning javescript permision on globaly wouldn't let me post to opera forums with opera???.

I'd agree that it's majorgeeks website managements fault. But unless they use Opera, they don't have a problem with it. It's Opera's users who are stuck with the problem...

I read somewhere that it was posible to download and install to opera, even "untrusted" site certificates, but that when that was implemented, it was specificaly chozen to not allow expired certificates... Sites like majorgeeks are not trying to maintain a truly secure site. Most likely they only ever bothered to get any kind of certificate at all because they wanted to use SSL encryption for password entry. And as long as they can recomend a mainstream multi-platform browser (such as Firefox) that doesn't have a problem with it, they are unlikely to care much that Opera insists on forcing their users to confirm that they want use the site anyway every aplicable browser session.

This is actualy more agravating than the way I have to "edit" ** MY ** default search engine's {startpage} "default" status every opera session...

Add the two together, and it is starting to become painful to continue to use Opera as my prefered/default browser. And ** THAT ** is certainly ** NOT ** majorgeek's problem.

I'm not talking about giving a site with unresolved certificate issues a "padlock" In-fact I'd recommend an obvious "broken padlock" or some such thing. But there are a number of public help forum sites on which No sane person would regard any entered content to be "secure data". But which choose to use https (which allows users to login without broadcasting their forum passwords in clear text.) making it more difficult for {derogatory descriptor deleted} to use other users accounts for spam and other inappropriate postings...

For example, I sometimes use https://forums.majorgeeks.com And their certificate is broken. But since anything posted to the forum becomes publicly accessible, they are likely to respond to any user request that they spend the time and/or resources to fix the certificate because Opera nags the user again every new session by suggesting that firefox will allow me to make a permanent exception...

For a site like that, what I'd like would be the ability to tell opera to not nag me about this particular broken certificate unless it {or it's status} changes. IE if the certificate is already "expired" when I tell Opera not to nag me then it's continued "expired" status shouldn't trigger a nag box.
Though I'd hope that opera would store enough data on the certificate to advise me if something actually changes...

But as it is, as much as I'd rather use opera, I find myself trying to remember to use firefox when I'm likely to go there.

Am I missing something?
