Again most handy, thanks - although the requirements for summaries including "It must be composed of grammatically correct and complete sentences" might give some programmers issues as they boldly go from programming into prose

RE: Opera 12 update to latest - a good idea yet?Opera for Windows
Oh and while I'm at it are there any rules for extensions, as a lot of the Chrome extensions seem to exist to pass on stuff to their author so they can monetise you? E.g. would the session extension mentioned be busy sending stuff to the outside World?

Thank you - most appreciated! While I'm at it what do you think of the latest version, pros/cons/comparisons?

RE: Opera 12 update to latest - a good idea yet?Opera for Windows
A couple of those things are complete show-stoppers for me, so I thought I would simply ask rather than spending quite some time trying to work out if some useful option was buried somewhere deep in the config.

Opera 12 update to latest - a good idea yet?Opera for Windows
So I asked about this two years ago and the answer seemed to be "it's not for me". In the meantime while I still use Opera regularly I use Chrome more, so I thought I'd have another go at it now we seem to have moved on another 14 releases...
All input most appreciated! For upgrading to the latest Opera my questions are:
I'd like to ask if I can import my bookmarks and keep them in the order I have them in ("my order")?
Will it import all my saved passwords okay?
Will it import sessions? Do you even get sessions?
I have icons to do assorted things - Open in IE, Open in Chrome, Enable Plugins, Enable JavaScript, Search Site, Open Bookmarks, Open History, etc. Can I have these in the current version? (I particularly like the ability to instantly turn off Plugins/Javascript).
Can I re-open both closed Tabs and closed Windows easily?
Does it still support Java?Cheers

RE: Opera 12 and Opera 26Opera for Windows
Thanks again for all the comments, although I'm not sure where it got me, I suspect 12 is the way to go for now and I'll wait and see...

RE: Opera 12 and Opera 26Opera for Windows
So if I accidentally close a Page or a Window it's all gone - wow, that's dreadful...
Thanks.
I guess I'll stay with 12... I wish their last "proper" version (feature-wise, I'm not that fussed about the page rendering engine) wasn't a bit more solid. -
RE: Opera 12 and Opera 26Opera for Windows
Thanks! A couple of follow-ups if I may...
Can I just have my bookmarks in the order they were in when I imported them?
Also can I have folders in my bookmark list?
Finally are there are any v12 users who recently succumbed and what do they think?
