@bestcodes Firefox for Android does it. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/playing-videos-firefox-android#w_enabling-and-disabling-video-autoplay
It works well on the news sites I visit daily (and these contain embedded videos from time to time) e.g. https://tvn24.pl/tvnwarszawa/najnowsze/warszawa-lesniczowka-w-lesie-kabackim-otwarta-po-remoncie-kiedy-bedzie-mozna-ja-zwiedzic-st7548057
btw, just checked, it works on Youtube as well

Data savings doesn't stop video auto playOpera for Android
I cannot understand how Opera for Android is being advertised with its ability to save transfer and yet this function doesn't include disabling of video autoplay.
I know there were a lot of questions whether video autoplay disabling option is there, but haven't seen any reasonable explanation why it's not included. Any ideas?
Opera's philosophy is an absurd paradox - we help you to save data by giving you data saver option (which includes compressing images) and yet we cannot disable video autoplay which is the biggest data hog..
